Common questions
Things expecting families ask.
When should I book my session?
Most parents book between 26 and 32 weeks for the clearest 4D and HD imagery, when babies have enough fat for detailed features but room to move. Earlier or later sessions are welcome if you want to capture a different stage.
Which package is right for me?
The right package depends on how far along you are and what you want to capture. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is built for early scans from 8 weeks. Jack and Jill suits 15 weeks and up with color images and a digital video. Little Rascals is for 21 weeks and beyond with shareable video. Three Stooges bundles three themed sessions across the whole pregnancy. Starlight pairs an early scan with a maternal massage. Tell us what you would love to capture and we will recommend the right one.
How long is each session?
It depends on the package. Most run 30 to 60 minutes from arrival to departure. Starlight Wellness is closer to 90 minutes since it includes a maternal massage. The actual scan is shorter than the visit; the rest is settling in, getting comfortable, and reviewing your imagery together.
Can I bring my partner and family?
Yes. The studio is built for it. Comfortable seating, room for older siblings, and time for everyone to be part of the moment.
How is this different from a medical ultrasound?
Our scans are non-diagnostic keepsake images. They are not a substitute for medical prenatal care from a licensed provider. Please continue your regular prenatal appointments alongside any session with us.
Should I drink water before my session?
It helps. We recommend drinking 32 to 48 ounces of water in the 24 hours before your session, with about 16 ounces in the hour leading up. Hydration noticeably improves the clarity of your images.
What is the Momitalk 8K add-on?
Momitalk 8K (Babyview AI) processes your scan into 8K resolution for the highest possible clarity. It is a $10 add-on available with any session, delivered alongside your standard imagery.
Will I sign anything at my visit?
A brief liability waiver is signed in person at the start of your appointment. No paperwork is needed in advance.
